Project Scope
Installation of a new head-end power plant and fiber-optic network throughout Penn Station to upgrade the existing AT&T telecommunications infrastructure.
Buildout of remote locations to transition fiber backbone to coax antennas in both back of house and public areas.
Special Requirements
Several miles of fiber-optic cabling were required due to the expansive footprint of Penn Station and navigating around active train tracks.
Exceptional care and coordination was required while working amongst multiple transit agencies (Amtrak, LIRR, NJ Transit).
